Mohamed Salah (32) revealed on Monday that he has not yet received a formal contract offer from Liverpool, despite his current deal running through the summer of 2025. The Egyptian forward, who has netted 12 goals so far this season, expressed his disappointment over the lack of progress in discussions regarding an extension.
In a rare interview, Salah shared his feelings, saying, “It’s almost December, and I haven’t had any offers yet to stay at the club. Right now, I feel like I’m more out than in.”
The long-time Liverpool star, who has been with the club for several years, emphasized his deep affection for the team but acknowledged that the decision is ultimately beyond his control. “I’ve been here for so long. There is no club like this one. But at the end of the day, it’s not in my hands,” he explained. “As I’ve said before, we’re in December, and I haven’t heard anything about my future yet.”
Salah also expressed his gratitude toward the fans, stating, “I love the fans, and they love me. But ultimately, the decision isn’t in my hands, nor in the fans' hands. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool’s strong form continues, with the team maintaining an eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League after their thrilling 3-2 win over Southampton on Sunday.
